Balakot

Balakot is a town in the district of Mansehra in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. It is situated on the banks of the Kunhar River before it enters the Kashmir Valley. It is arranged in the north-east region, at a separation of 30 Km from Mansehra city. Moreover, the town owns immense significance, as it enroutes the other northern zones of Pakistan. The beautiful town enjoys a humid sub- tropical climate that consists of hot summers and cold winters, following heavy rainfall than other parts of Pakistan. The town was massively affected by the earthquake in October, 2005 2005 however it was revamped with enhanced lodging, schools, medicinal services offices etc. Moreover, the beauty of nature is embedded in this breath taking town which consists of the hills, mountains, gushing rivers, valleys, etc which makes it a beautiful scenic town that captivates the travelers. Alongside its striking beauty the town has their own cultural and historical background.
